It’s spooky and it’s kooky and it’s going very fast. Shows are already being sold out for the Patriot Player’s production of the Addams Family.
This year, Halloween is a family affair. Performances of the Addams Family will be held on the last two weekends of October. On October 22-24 and 30-31 see the show at 7:00 pm. On October 25 catch the show at 2:00 pm.
On October 1, Dr. Angeline Godwin the president of Patrick Henry Community College, was named as a member of the Council on Youth Entrepreneurship. Governor McAuliffe established the council last month through Executive Order 47 in order to establish business innovation initiatives for youth.
Community members are invited to an information session about the supervision career studies certificate program that will be offered at the Patrick County site starting Oct 19. The information session will be held at the Patrick County site on October 8 at 5:30 pm. It is free and open to the public.

For the third consecutive time, PHCC has received its certification as an Achieving the Dream (ATD) Leader College.
PHCC invites anyone from 6 years old and up to create a sculpture entirely from recycled materials to enter the third annual Recycled Art Sculpture Contest.
Kristin Dulaney began working for Patrick Henry Community College in August 2015. As an Assistant Professor of Education and Early Childhood Dulaney serves three main roles.
This summer a group of six faculty and staff from Patrick Henry Community College participated in a professional development workshop on mindfulness, a technique that one professor hopes will be a revolution in learning, retention, and overall campus wellness at PHCC.
On Friday, September 18, Patrick Henry Community College President Dr. Angeline Godwin and Longwood University President W. Taylor Reveley IV signed an articulation agreement ensuring guaranteed transfer in three different programs of study.
