Genealogy 1 is an online class students can use to learn the basics of how to research their family history. The focus will be on the first three generations. Students will learn how to search census records, the social security death index, and other resources discussed in class. They’ll also learn how to record and organize the information so they can compile their family history.

The class will be held from Jan. 14 through May 12 with Instructor Aileen Martin, a cataloger at PHCC’s Learning Resource Center. The course is three credits. Visit or call (276) 638-8777 for additional information.
