Students can make an appointment with their adviser and bring their signed registration request to the IATCC (Integrated Advising, Testing and Career Center) in Walker Fine Arts building. Students who have already been admitted to the college and assigned a student ID number may register online at www.patrickhenry.edu where they can also find a summer 2014 class schedule.
Classes offered during the summer include accounting, administration of justice, administrative support technology, agriculture, air conditioning and refrigeration, Arabic, arts, automotive technology, biology, business administration, chemistry, speech communication, computer aided drafting, economics, education, emergency medical services, English, environmental science, French, geography, German, health care technician, health sciences, history, horticulture, hotel/restaurant/institutional management, human services, industrial technology, information technology, Japanese, marketing, mathematics, motorsports, music, natural science, nursing, philosophy, physical education and recreation, physics, political science, psychology, recreation and parks, religion, sociology, Spanish, student development viticulture and welding.
Registration kicks off at the Patrick County Site on April 8 from 3-6 p.m. and at the Franklin County Site in the Franklin Center for Advanced Learning Enterprises on April 7 from 4-6 p.m. Students can register for online courses and classes offered at the main campus.
These off-campus sites will not offer classes this summer but students can still access services including tutors and computer labs for web-based courses.
Summer hours for the Patrick County site are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. They are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday at the Franklin County site. These hours start on May 26.
All classes registered on April 15 must be paid for on the same day. The tuition rate for in-state students is $132.33 per credit hour, including a technology and student fee, and $324.43, including a technology, student and capital fee, for out-of-state students. Financial assistance is available to students who quality. Students are encouraged to apply early.
Advising and registration is May 22-23. Classes begin on Monday, May 26. The last day to register or add a course is Wednesday, May 28.
PHCC has guaranteed transfer agreements with more than 20 colleges and universities. Students who meet those requirements may transfer to senior institutions as juniors. Information is on the college website.
