Gloria Foley graduated from PHCC in 1982 with three Associate of Arts and Science degrees in Education, Business Administration and General Studies. In 1983 she earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Virginia Tech, followed in 2002 by a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia.
Currently, Foley serves as a Career Coach for PHCC and Magna Vista High School. Prior to that, she was Director of Career Development for Henry County Schools. During her tenure there, she created, designed and executed the “Oh Henry” Career Experience Program. Foley also worked as a teacher at Bassett High School for several years. She has received several awards, including the 2003 Excellence in Education Award for the “Oh Henry” program, the VATIE Teach of the Year Award in 1995, and the VICA Advisor of the Year in 1995. She has served on various boards and committees including United Way, Chamber of Commerce, and Piedmont Arts Association.
