Roger Spencer graduated from Patrick Henry College in 1968 with an Associate degree in General Studies. He continued his education by earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology/History from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Education from the University of Virginia. He is a retired teacher of 34 years and currently works with the Individual Student Alternative Education Program at the Center for Community Learning. He is a member of the Henry County Education Association, the Virginia Educational Association, and the National Educational Association, and has been named to Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. He received the Henry County School Board Faculty Excellence Award and a Presidential Citation from the Governor’s School of Humanities at the University of Richmond.
