As part of PHCC's Learning Resource Center, the Writing Lab has been established to offer free tutoring to students planning or drafting written assignments. The Lab tutors can help you with writing for ANY course across the curriculum - from English to welding! The Writing Lab employs student tutors who conduct individual tutoring sessions with students. However, as a Writing Lab that is rooted in the idea of writing existing as a process, the Lab tutors proofread papers for the student but do not re-write them. The Lab exists as a resource that the students can use to reinforce classroom teaching and learn how to better revise with an eye for grammar, mechanics, and style as the tutors direct the students in their revision, utilizing the materials and resources available.
