Patrick Henry Community College (PHCC) is a comprehensive two-year college of the Virginia Community College System, serving the City of Martinsville and the counties of Henry, Patrick and portions of Franklin.  PHCC serves approximately 3,500 credit and almost 2,700 non-credit students annually and, consistently ranks among the top ten “Most Tech-Savvy” community colleges in the country by the Center for Digital Education. Duties and Responsibilities:

Patrick Henry Community Colleges seeks a detail oriented team player to serve as the Accelerated Learning, Off Campus Sites, and Student Services Program Assistant.  This position will provide administrative support, comprehensive and intensive enrollment support, and advising services as part of the Accelerated Learning and Off Campus Sites and Student Services programs at the college, with an emphasis on student recruitment, enrollment, advising, retention, and financial management of Dual Enrollment, ACE, D2, and Governor’s School programs with local high schools in the service region.  This position also provides management of Perkins and Career Coach grant funding and reporting.

Salary:

Minimum $24,479 based on qualifications and experience, plus excellent benefits package.

Position Summary:

Responsible for middle and/or high school program planning, communications with students, school faculty & staff, and student families. Will assist site director and instructors with program activities and recruitment. Will actively engage and educate participants, family members and community etc. Will mentor students in a variety of learning and life experiences, and support environments that are safe, healthy, and conducive to student learning. Hourly Wage:

Minimum $9.00 hour. This is an hourly wage position with no health benefits. Scheduled work hours will range from 10 to 29-hours per week.

Position Summary

Patrick Henry Community College is seeking energetic, self-motivated individuals to serve as MHC After 3 Site Directors and Instructors. MHC After 3 is an educational outreach program that coordinates community youth development resources to advance youth development and increase secondary school student academic success through access to high quality out of school time opportunities.

Site Director

Responsible for daily operations of the program, data collection and tracking; supervising site staff; communicating with families; building relationships with the host community and students; overseeing all program activities; program implementation; promote program successes; identify areas of program needs; working with leadership for site level planning; maintaining positive public relations; communications with students, school faculty & staff, and student families; recruit, engage and educate participants; mentor students in a variety of learning and life experiences, and support environments that are safe, healthy, and conducive to student learning. Leads educational and enrichment programming with small groups middle and high school students participating in MHC After 3. Responsible for designing and delivery of specialized programs in fields such as: visual arts, performing arts, college preparedness, robotics, etc. as well as leading instruction of MHC After 3 programs. Responsible for aligning activities with standards for education in accordance with youth development framework; evaluate and report group outcomes to site directors and program manager. Designs outcomes driven lesson plans; recruit, engage and educate participants; mentor students in a variety of learning and life experiences, and support environments that are safe, healthy, and conducive to student learning. Position Summary

Patrick Henry Community College is actively recruiting Transportation Specialists (Bus Drivers) to transport students for approved athletic, academic, and college sponsored activities.  Drivers will be expected to drive carefully and in compliance with traffic regulations and responsible for passenger safety in and around the bus.  Drivers will instruct passengers in safety precautions and practices and maintain discipline; reporting unruly behavior to trip supervisors as necessary.  Drivers will inspect, sweep, and clean trash from the bus and perform routine maintenance checks to include, water, gas, and oil as needed to maintain proper vehicle operation. Drivers will also keep operational records and complete simple reports.

Hourly Rate:

Minimum $10.00, this is a 29-hour per week hourly wage position with no health benefits.
