An application for admission MUST be on file in the Admissions Office prior to taking the placement test.
The Placement Test is a comprehensive, computer-adaptive testing system that helps place students into appropriate courses and maximizes the information colleges need to ensure student success. This test offers placement in writing and mathematics.
Hours for the placement test on the main campus (Walker 228) are:
Monday - Thursday: 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Bring your PHCC Student ID # (EMPLID)… required to take the test.
A valid government issued photo I.D. must be presented at time of test. (DMV issued license, learners permit, photo ID, Passport, or Military ID)
No appointment required. Tests are administered on a first-come first-served walk-in basis. Seating is limited.
There is no fee to take the test.
The test is untimed, but it takes an average of two hours to complete each of two portions. You may only take one portion of the test (English or math) on any given day and must return on another day to take the other.
