Patrick Henry Community College is a two-year comprehensive community college dedicated to the belief that all persons should have equal opportunity to develop and expand their skills and knowledge. Consistent with this philosophy, and in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act, we encourage persons with disabilities to fully utilize the programs and services of PHCC. Mission Statement for Serving Students with disAbilities To support the educational pursuits of persons with disAbilities in our service area, it is the mission of Patrick Henry Community College to: 1) disseminate information to increase awareness of services available to persons with disabilities, 2) assist with the matriculation of persons with disabilities into the college environment, 3) develop and implement disability-related support services which promote the educational and personal development of persons with disabilities by networking with campus- and community-based resources, and 4) assist with the successful integration of persons with disabilities into continued educational activities and/or the world of work. |
