Robert Foster (2011)
Robert Foster earned a a Certificate in Drafting from PHCC in 1985. He earned a Career Studies Certificate in Architectural Drafting in 1982 and was also enrolled in the General Studies associate degree program before transferring to Radford University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Probation and Parole. He has completed additional professional training with the Commonwealth Management Institute with the Center for Public Policy of Virginia Commonwealth University, and other training with the Louis McHardy National College of Juvenile and Family Justice with the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges. He is currently employed by the State of Virginia, Department of Juvenile Justice and
Director of the 21st District Court Service Unit. He is the President of the
Virginia Court Service Unit Director’s Association and is a member of the
Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice Procedures Committee. He is a board member for Boys and Girls Clubs, Focus on Youth, and CASA. He also serves as a coach for the John Redd Smith Elementary Odyssey of the Mind Club.
