Jencie Gibson graduated from PHCC in 1978 with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Secretarial Science. She earned her Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) credential in 1978 after passing the entire test on the first attempt and has taken additional courses in business management and various computer applications. She currently serves as Administrative Assistant to the President at PHCC. Prior to her appointment in the President’s Office, Gibson was employed as the Registrar at PHCC, and in the Learning Resource Center.

She currently is Chair of the college’s Special Events Committee, and is Choir Director and Pianist for Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She participates in various mission organizations and projects and is a member of the musical trio, “Just Us,” which performs at area nursing homes and church events.
