Dr. Richard Mansfield earned an Associate of Science degree from PHCC in 1973. He continued his education by earning a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Medical College of Virginia – School of Dentistry. He currently works as a dentist in private practice in Waynesboro. While at PHCC, Dr. Mansfield served as President of the Student Government Association. After graduating with his doctorate degree, he entered the United States Air Force as a Captain, where he gained valuable experience in the field of dentistry. An Eagle Scout, he continues to be active in scouting and has served for 20 years on the Executive Board of the Stonewall Jackson Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He held a leadership role in the Augusta Regional Free Clinic after it was established and was one of those involved in the founding of the Augusta Regional Dental Clinic.
