Dr. Nancy Phillips (2009)
Dr. Nancy Phillips graduated from PHCC in 1986 with two associate degrees, in Business Administration and in Data Processing. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Science from Virginia Tech, a Master of Business Administration from Averett College, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of North Carolina. Phillips is Professor of Mathematics, Business and Computer Technology at PHCC, and started teaching there as an adjunct faculty member in 1989. She also taught as adjunct faculty at Averett University. She is a member of the Virginia Mathematical Association for Two-Year Colleges and the Virginia Community College Association. Phillips has been involved with Piedmont Arts Association and Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Martinsville DuPont Credit Union and the Martinsville Rotary, where she was recently elected president for the 2010-2011 term. She also serves as Chapter Leader for the South Central Virginia Region of the Celiac Disease Foundation.
