Chad Ratliff earned an Associate in Arts and Sciences in General Studies from PHCC in 1999. He continued his education by earning a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Old Dominion University, and a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia. He is a Master of Business Administration in Management candidate at Virginia Tech, and expects to earn the degree in 2010. Ratliff is Sales Manager and Agent for McCall Insurance Agency and Co-Founder and General Manager of The Ratliff Group, LLC, a real estate investment firm. He was formerly employed by Martinsville City Public Schools as a program coordinator, teacher, coach and aide. He is a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia, the Professional Insurance Agents of Virginia and Washington, D.C., and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. Other professional organizations to which he has belonged are the Philosophy of Education Society, the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, the National Business Education Association, and the Association for Career and Technical Education. He is President and Co-Founder of the Spencer Chang Scholarship Foundation, an Ambassador to the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, and a Patriot Club Member at PHCC. He has been named to the Top 20 Under 40 Emerging Leaders by the Blue Ridge Business Journal and has received the Most Influential Educator Award three times. He has also been named the Piedmont District Wrestling Coach of the Year, and the Region IV Wrestling Coach of the Year.
