Certificate programs can usually be completed in one year of full-time enrollment and offer specific general education along with key skill area courses designed to respond to local employment needs. Certificate programs are often equal to the first year of a corresponding associate degree.

AWARD:  Certificate

LENGTH:   3 Semesters

PURPOSE:
This program has a dual purpose for workforce development of the region. 1) This program provides students basic knowledge and skills for transfer into the PHCC Motorsports Technology program. 2) This program also provides entry level skills and knowledge for employment in Automotive Industry and advanced skills for individuals currently employed in the field.

POTENTIAL CERTIFICATION:
Industry Certification: A program graduate will be prepared for the ASE examination and certification.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Students must meet the general admission requirements established by the college. Students with deficiencies in English or mathematics will complete appropriate developmental studies courses. (See Automotive Technology Advisor prior to enrollment)
