Certificate programs can usually be completed in one year of full-time enrollment and offer specific general education along with key skill area courses designed to respond to local employment needs. Certificate programs are often equal to the first year of a corresponding associate degree.

PURPOSE:
This program provides the student with entry-level skills for employment in residential, commercial and industrial fields. It also provides advanced and upgraded training for those presently employed. Theoretical classroom experiences as well as hands on experiences are utilized.
OCCUPATIONAL OBJECTIVES:
Graduates of this program will qualify for positions with residential contractors, commercial installers and industrial HVAC maintenance mechanics.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Students must meet the general admission requirements established by the college. Students with deficiencies in English or mathematics will complete appropriate developmental studies courses. Students with deficiencies in computer skills will complete additional coursework.
CURRICULUM REQUIREMENTS:
The student must satisfactorily complete all general education, program and elective requirements listed below to receive a Certificate in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
