The following is a list of benefit options available to full time employees at PHCC:

HEALTH INSURANCE: The Anthem BlueCross/Blue Shield plan is available with several plan options. The State pays all or most of the health insurance premium depending on the plan chosen. RETIREMENT: Virginia Retirement System; The State currently pays approximately 10% of an employee's salary into the Virginia Retirement System for retirement benefits. ANNUAL LEAVE, SICK LEAVE, DISABILITY LEAVE: Long-Term Care; Virginia Sickness and Disablility Program Handbook

All full time employees, except faculty, receive 8 hours of annual (vacation) leave per month. The amount of annual leave increases after 5, 10, 15, and 20 years of service. Annual leave accrues up to a limit of 192 to 336 hours based on length of service.

New employees and employees who chose the Virginia Sickness and Disability Program (VSDP) receive varying amounts of sick and family/personal leave at the beginning of each year. The amount of leave ranges from 90 hours to 120 hours based on length of service. Employees who chose to stay in the former sick leave plan receive 10 hours of sick leave per month.

Faculty members under an Optional Retirement Plan and those not participating in VSDP are given 3 personal days at the beginning of each academic year and 4-1/2 sick days each Fall and Spring semester. Those who choose participation in the Virginia Retirement System receive sick and family/personal leave at the beginning of each year under the Virginia Sickness and Disability Program (VSDP) ranging from 90 hours to 120 hours based on years of service.

VSDP provides eligible employees supplemental or replacement income during periods of partial or total disability on a short-term and/or long-term basis.

HOLIDAYS: The Commonwealth of Virginia provides a total of 12 holidays, including: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Lee-Jackson Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, The day after Thanksgiving Day, Martin Luther King Day, Labor Day, George Washington Day, Columbus Day, Christmas Day

Some of these holidays are observed at different times depending on the college's schedule.

Position Summary:

Serves the Business Office by matching purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices and reviews for appropriate signatures. Reviews invoices, including credit card bills, for appropriate approval prior to payment. Prepares and processes electronic transfers and payments in a timely manner according to state guidelines. Researches and resolves invoice discrepancies. Maintains vendor files and requests the completed W-9. Also corresponds with vendors and responds to inquiries. Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. Position Summary:

Patrick Henry Community College is seeking a detail oriented, customer focused professional to work as the Academic Success Administrative Coordinator. This position will provide coordination for administrative support of the Academic Success College Transfer (ASCT) division. The individual will provide data analysis, administrative assistant leadership, budget supervision, and faculty/staff/administrator assistance to support and contribute to the success of the ASCT division. Position Summary:

Serves Human Resource Office by processing part-time payrolls and associated deductions. Performs all related payroll functions and reconciliations, and maintains audit quality documentation for all pay transactions. Provides data for agency budgeting, planning and management reporting. Provides customer service to achieve program efficiency and effectiveness. Works within the day-to-day operations of the HR Office maintaining proper internal controls and compliance with all Agency, VCCS, State and Federal regulations. Position Summary:

Patrick Henry Community College is seeking a Programmer/Analyst to provide and maintain state-of-the art information technology systems for the main campus and remote locations of the College. This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, and programming requirements to support the College PeopleSoft Student Information System (SIS), Accounting Information System (AIS), and Human Resources System (HRMS).  Meet with users to determine the resolution of customer service requests, write specs, code, test, and implement data extraction applications (e.g., queries, reports, etc.) primarily in a PeopleSoft environment. Troubleshoot and develop solutions to ensure data integrity and system reliability for the student services areas of the college.  Create training materials and conduct training sessions for the users.  Collaborate with administrators at other community colleges and the Virginia Community College System’s Student Services and Information Technology Services Department on SIS, AIS, and HRMS setup, testing and maintenance.  Serve on system deployment team to develop business processes for the entire community college system. Attend scheduled meetings and formal training and workshops as required.

Minimum Salary:

$41,778, based on qualifications; plus excellent benefits package.

Position Description

Primary responsibility is teaching and maintaining office hours. Maintaining the instructional classroom and shop is required and assisting with student job placement is expected. Teaching assignments may include day and evening classes for program placed students and non-curricular students, and faculty participation in required faculty meetings. Opportunities for summer teaching will be based on student interest. PHCC currently offers a Certification in Automotive Technology and Career Studies Certificate in Automotive Engine Technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include teach courses in the Automotive Technology Program, create a student-oriented learning environment, and evaluate student learning in assigned courses. In addition to the teaching load, associate instructors will be responsible for an additional 12-19 hours of student engagement. Responsibilities may include work during the day and/or evening programs of the college, as well as its distance learning programs. This is a restricted 9-month associate instructor position to begin August 2014. A new contract can be offered for the next academic year at the sole discretion of the college and in consideration of the college’s needs at that time.

Hiring Range:

MHC After 3 is an educational outreach program that coordinates community youth development resources to advance youth development and increase secondary school student academic success through access to high quality out of school time opportunities.

Responsible for designing and delivery of specialized programs in fields such as: visual arts, performing arts, college preparedness, robotics, etc. as well as leading instruction of MHC After 3 programs. Responsible for aligning activities with standards for education in accordance with youth development framework; evaluate and report group outcomes to site directors and program manager. Designs outcomes driven lesson plans; recruit, engage and educate participants; mentor students in a variety of learning and life experiences, and support environments that are safe, healthy, and conducive to student learning. Position Summary

Patrick Henry Community College is actively recruiting Transportation Specialists (Bus Drivers) to transport students for approved athletic, academic, and college sponsored activities.  Drivers will be expected to drive carefully and in compliance with traffic regulations and responsible for passenger safety in and around the bus.  Drivers will instruct passengers in safety precautions and practices and maintain discipline; reporting unruly behavior to trip supervisors as necessary.  Drivers will inspect, sweep, and clean trash from the bus and perform routine maintenance checks to include, water, gas, and oil as needed to maintain proper vehicle operation.
